Great. Glad it worked for you. What version are you using?

False alarm, that did not work. I have 3 reports, one of them just shows the empty rows with the headers for blank datasets. But the other two show the document has no pages error when the dataset is blank. I checked the properties on all 3 reports, all of them are the same so I don't get why the other throw the error.

I meant the properties of the control that you place on the page. Does it have ReportFile property set to a valid report files? I don't mean the properties of the report file that you design but the control placed on the Web form. Are they all valid?

Yes the reportFile is set, the report is populated if the dataset returns rows. If the row is zero then the "document has no pages error is shown". I took a deeper look at the reports, the one that works (with/without rows) and the other reports that only works with rows present. The difference is the group footer having a count or sum function. If the report has a count or sum function in the group footer and the dataset is empty that "document has no pages error is shown". Hopefully this can be fixed in another version.

Thank you for your feedback. We were able to reproduce the issue and solve it. We have a special build (3.5.1) that includes this fix. It can be downloaded from:

http://www.cppmax.com/downloads/ReportMax/ReportMaxSetup3.5.1.msi

Please make sure to clear the old references, remove and install the version.

Thanks again and sorry for inconvenience

The sum function works but the count function does not, still throws the "document has no pages error"

We were unable to reproduce the issue. We changed the SUM function to COUNT function in the group text field, but the page displayed correctly. Could you please elaborate? Can you send us a sample report that generates this issue? What are the steps? Thank you for your feedback.

I am grouping by a the name of a tool in the group header. In the details section are names of employees who have received this tool. In the group footer I have the count function to count the number of employees from the details section who have received the tool. Once the dataset returns empty the error is thrown.
